"May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears."

                                                                       -Nelson Mandela

As the year comes to a close I reflect on the quote by Nelson Mandela. My Cancer is almost 5 years into the past - a definite time to celebrate. The current house updates and renovations are dwindling and I once again look for brief times for myself to create and fill my spirit with
 the renewal it needs.

This year has seen so many changes. The home we designed and built sold in upstate NY.
No turning back now.

I miss the beams and high ceilings, the garden, the secret passageways - it had amazing spaces, but
most of all I miss the family and friends that gathered for celebrations through out the year.

It was a leap of faith to move to the  South and start over. The work it has taken to accomplish building a new life was far more than we could have anticipated. God has a plan for our life here. We feel it and know it-it is the patience in the timing that I struggle with.

Friends of ours will marry at the end of February. I have been asked to make a few items.
Time to make time for stitching. Thank you - I needed that little push to start again. I dream of the stitches and the creating of flowers in silk. Soul saving work.

I wish for all of you this New Year that your choices reflect your hopes and dreams. God bless.

  1. That is good news indeed - the 5 year mark is a critical milestone. I am in awe of your capacity for resilience and positive outlook on life. Life is all about change I guess it's how manage that change is what matters. I look forward to seeing more of your exquisite hand sewing. Best wishes, Ann.
