Endless Summer Days

We just returned from a short "minimoon" from Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard to celebrate our anniversary early. We could not have had more perfect weather. We decided to take our hybrid bikes with baskets over on the ferry for a couple of days on Martha's Vineyard. We are tired and relaxed.   What it must be like to spend a whole summer there. The cottages take you back in time. The thoughts of endless summer days kept playing through my mind. I hope you enjoy your "trip".

Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard has a community of
little gingerbread cottages. They look like beautiful little
doll houses. There is a wonderful outdoor tabernacle in the
middle with a beautiful church. These houses surround the area.

The purple hydrangeas Martha's Vineyard is know for.
Edgartown Streets are lined with beautiful homes.

And a view of the water!!!

The view outside our hotel room in Cape Cod.
The colors are the actual colors seen from our balcony.
We could not believe it-it was like viewing a painting.

  1. Hello Friend. I have always wanted to go to Cape Code and Martha's Vineyard. Thank you for the little fantasy trip I took there today, thanks to you. So happy you are blogging again. Lovely photos. Like cupcakes those houses! And yes especially that last one, whoa, like a painting. That's the thing about memories. A lot of stuff we'd like to forget. But then we'd have to forget all the beautiful moments that take our breath away. I'll keep the memories of the bad so I can savor the good, and all I have to do is close my eyes and I am there again. love to you today Sister.
